"I was assigned the task of animating the UI graphics for the Science Channel show, Man vs. The Universe. My goal was to create a unique build in / build out of the graphics with a digital feel, where each graphic individually turned on in a realistic way, as if each sensor had a purpose and really worked. To achieve this, I decided to divide the design into modular blocks and animated the blocks in a sequential order, to tell a cohesive story. All the elements were animated with keyframe animation and customized by hand to convey a truly one-of-a-kind aesthetic for this piece.”
