ONLY THE BRAVE

"For the main title and credits for Only the Brave, it was important to maintain a very grainy, worn, and authentic look/ feel for the animation. This was top priority for Creative Director, Danny Yount, who had brought me onto this project. To achieve this style, I decided to make a cell animation with Photoshop brushes, combined with aquarelle textures over paper. Part of my process, was playing with these elements in the compositing phase, and manipulating each letter individually to get the results needed. It was crucial to convey a special moment and emotion in the animation in order to align with the film's tone.”
