THE MEG

"I WAS IN CHARGE OF THE OVERALL LOGO DESIGN FOR THE FILM, THE MEG. THE CONCEPT BEHIND THIS LOGO ANIMATION WAS TO PLAY WITH THE LIGHTING, AS A WAY TO REVEAL THE LOGO IN A CINEMATIC WAY. THEREFORE, WE LIT THE LOGO AS A WAY TO MAKE IT STAND OUT FROM THE DARK, MAKING IT SEEM AS IF IT WAS A GIANT PREHISTORIC SUBMARINE CREATURE. I DESIGNED THESE FRAMES IN PHOTOSHOP, AND THEN CREATED A 3D MODEL USING CINEMA 4D. I LIT THE LOGO, AND RENDERED IT WITH OCTANE. AFTER THAT STEP, I COMPOSITED IT ON THE PLATE AND APPLIED COLOR CORRECTION TO INTEGRATE IT INTO THE SCENE, SEAMLESSLY. TOGETHER WITH MY TEAM, I CREATED ALL THE ENVIRONMENTAL ELEMENTS , PARTICLES, AND VOLUMETRIC LIGHT FROM SCRATCH IN 3D."
